Here is the VCDL bill breakdown. I have always loved this service as it gives a nice single place to read up on the various bills.

Thank you for the link, redstone.

GOA also has a fillable-form page right now, referenced in my thread in the Gun Control Discussion section.

I watched bits and pieces of the inauguration online.

Even though the Capitol has been remodeled, the layout of the festivities were the same.

My first day as a Rookie Police Officer was working the inauguration for Mark Warner.
(In reality being a gofer and parking delegates cars).

I saw one of the first things she did was rescind the order of LE working with ice.

Of all the politicians to be the first woman governor, I was hoping it wouldn't be her.

I think riding a brama bull will be less bumpy.

That bill guaranteeing free education for illegals makes me boil among the others

I have been trying to go back to school for the past couple of years, and the cost is outrageous.

Especially out of state vs in state tuition.

So, I work my butt off, serve my country etc.. but I have to pay tuition but illegals don't have to pay crap.

In the years past, Virginia (among other states like Denver) gave them, the in state tuition rate. Now they want it to be free.

Thank you, PASig for posting the list.

Someone who campaigned on "affordability"... look at all the things on that list that will make life more expensive, not to mention the stupid (1), cumbersome (2), and ridiculous (3) things....

- - - - -
1: Internet voting, expanded ranked choice, etc.
2: Can't shoot on less that 5 acres? Really?
3: Lower penalties for robber, can't arrest illegals in courthouse, and renaming Columbus Day

A grouchy German man I once worked for used the term, "DFS." Damn F*****g Stupid.
I believe the term applies well to our new so-called "leadership."

Virginia can count on no longer being my home state upon my retirement, if this kind of mess actually takes hold. Dang ridiculous. Mad

Once again, the big cities screw it up for the rest of the state.

Some counties in the pointy end -through which I travel through occasionally - are so deep red they're burgundy. But they are sparsely populated.

I wonder if this will affect its "shall issue" CCW, or reciprocity. I do have a permit (since 2021, enhanced permit).

Here in coastal SC, there are a number of people who left Virginia several years ago when the drift towards Democratic control of the Commonwealth became clear. Unfortunately, there is probably no path back from this situation since NoVa and the Tidewater (not to overlook Albemarle County) regions seem solidly Democratic. I wish the best to those freedom lovers who remain in what was once the great Commonwealth of Virginia!

I’d like to give NoVa and Tidewater to Maryland.

Why does there have to be fraud? Maybe ~292,000 VA voters are just damned fools. And DEI?

Because that’s what rotten Dems do? Razz

Admittedly, a lot of VA voters may be “just damned fools.”
But, IMO, a lot of them (NoVa in particular) are part of The Swamp and couldn’t stand to see a non-Swamp candidate elected. Covering their own tails, so to speak.

My own county turned blue. Why? Because so many NoVa refugees have moved in down here, bringing their crappy politics with them.

^^^ Well, I've never heard of fraud, or allegations of fraud, favoring the Republican anywhere, and there's this new law - or shortly to become law - prohibiting hand counting of ballots, so there may be something to the fraud business. I haven't heard any such allegations on this one. The fact is that the country - and state - has a very large swath of people who have bought into leftism.
