Bath and kitchen faucets replacements - seeking brand recommendation Login/Join

I need to have some bathroom and kitchen faucets replaced. When we installed some bathroom and kitchen faucets 15 years ago, they have since rusted out and are falling apart. My wife insisted on her choice of crap no-name faucets because they looked good, now they are all about to fail and cut loose. I informed her that she should pick out new ones but only from a known quality brand that I would let her know about.

But I don't know what is a good brand that won't won't rust out (literally, structurally rust out).

Is Delta one of those brands ? I don't know what's good and what's not, besides looking at an obvious pos faucet. I need help since I don't want to let her find any old crap that looks good to her, but will never really work correctly or last very long.

Any advice appreciated.

I’ve had Delta products in my last 2 homes. I like them and have had no real problem with them. It’s also relatively easy to get parts for them if need be. Good luck.

I would look for a "Plumbing Supply" type seller, to get better grade of fixtures, rather than the typical Home Depot grade.

I am in the market myself, and had the same idea. I went to two plumbing supply houses locally. Saw one I was interested in, but decided to keep looking. Checked online--just Amazon so far-- and found the exact faucet for almost 20% less. I have found lots to like online; I think it is no longer true that you need to go to a brick and mortar plumbing supply house to get better quality, and even cheaper, fixtures.

Believe it or not, I've been told by a very trusted contractor who had nothing to gain, that the there are quality differences between big box store offerings and the same models coming from plumbing supply store.

Also, when we remodeled, we put in all Kohler fixtures and they have been perfect. A bit more pricy then some of the others, but I'm a cry once kinda guy.

Just did mine and went with Delta recertified. Just go to the Delta site and click on outlet. Saved a ton of money and comes with a 10 yr warranty.

I've built 4 houses for the family and me and I've used Delta exclusively with zero regrets.

Delta, Kohler, Moen, and American Standard are all good. If your looking to keep the cost a little less Delta has a line called Foundations. Still good but not as fancy or as many features as their other lines

Stay away from HD and Lowes house brands, Glacier Bay and Project Source.

We just remodeled our kitchen and went all Kohler - sink, faucet and pot filler - from a local plumbing supply.
Very satisfied with the products.

KWC Good stuff, when we redo the bathroom, that's what we will install.

I've Moen we put in 10 years ago that is decent. But it's needed the hose to the sprayer replaced.

Current Delta is marginal at best. Heard good things about Kohler but no personal experience

We like Kohler and Delta ... both brands have held up with us well over the years.

I am currently remodeling two bathroom and replaced the 35 year old Moen tub and shower valves and hardware with Delta. We are keeping with Kohler for the sink faucets.

My experience is that Moen has a real lifetime warranty.

If you have a problem they ship you replacements.

Kohler gives you grief and tries not to honor the lifetime warranty.

Had both Kohler and Moen faucets.
Switched all to Moen.

Still use mostly Kohler toilets.

Amazon usually has better prices unless you know someone who does big volumes with the supply house.

I can vouch for Moen no hassle, customer oriented warranty service. I’m sure other brands might be good as well but I’ve no reason to consider switching from Moen and Toto.

We needed a component for our Moen faucet during the pandemic shutdown. Called them, no answer. Messaged them, no reply. ended up buying one off of an amazon vendor. I know it was unusual times but I would say that my warranty experience (especially in light of that we were open every stinking day of the pandemic) was less than stellar.

But we still like our faucet

Never EVER had a problem w/ Kohler re: warranty! They've sent me parts twice, and included a complete valve assembly when I was only requesting a cartridge. They even sent both valves (Cold and Hot) when the Hot was the only one with an issue! All done over the phone, in one phone call...Easy Peasy! All they wanted was to confirm the product/lot number from the existing fixture and they shipped same day!

Kohler customer for life here...

Moen has been an excellent choice for us. Delta has been good, has parts availability almost everywhere, but does start a slow drip after a while.
