I bought me a bottle tonight. I had a nice church gathering to celebrate the occasion this past weekend, but none of them are hard liquor drinkers and it's a weeknight. So please, break out your favorite scotch, bourbon or spirit of choice, would you, and share a drink with me.

First time I've ever sprung for the 14 year. It does go down smooth.

Thank you. Had a wee dram of Ardbeg Uigeadail Islay whisky tonight in support. Reminds me the weather’s beginning to cool off and I should stock a few bottles for when we’re snowed in.

I just saw this and it's a little late tonight. However I'll have a glass of Glenlivet 15 French Oak Reserve tomorrow to make up for it.

Tony, I didn't last night but will tonight. Last night was filled with kickboxing and then took the kid out for dinner.

I'm just right down the street from you in St. Pete, lived in Davenport for a little bit.

Thinking Old Fashioned or Cuba Libre tonight with a cigar.

That one caught my eye at the shop - how would you compare it to say Balvenie Doublewood/Oban/Dalwhinnie - my usual go-to's?

I didn't see this in time last night as I was out...
but I'll have a drink in your honor tonight.
Happy Birthday!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I too missed the thread until just now. I normally drink bourbon, but I do have part of a bottle of Glenmorangie 10 on the shelf and I'll have a glass of that tonight in your honor. Happy Birthday.
