As we all know, we have some very generous members and members who own some amazing businesses. However, we also have some members who may not be as well known but run some excellent businesses. Their products and and generosity were really appreciated by me over the past few days and I wanted to thank them publicly.

1. Member one: Christmas 2017/2018 we had a mouse (one mouse) problem in our house that none of the regular traps would work. A member, whose name I’m embarrassed to admit I can’t remember anymore, has a pest control business. He stepped up and sent me some FREE traps he guaranteed would work. They did. Well a couple of weeks ago, we went out to our travel trailer to get some things and discovered that one of our kids had left the door open and mice had gotten in. The mess was out of control. We actually have a $5000+ hazmat clean up bill (insurance is covering thank heavens). But, we were able to use these traps once again to get the little beasties out. So, once again THANK YOU!

2. Member two: Two to three years ago, a member (name again has vanished from memory Confused) was selling some very high quality digital brass tire gauges. To add insult to injury to my mouse problem, I discovered I also had flat tires on my travel trailer when I went to check on it. Every time I use this gauge, I appreciate the quality and excellent deal I got on this gauge.

Anyway, I thought a shout out to these members was warranted considering how much I’ve used their products and the quality of the same. To them, if you see this, please let us all (at least me) know who you are. Also, check out Para’s thread: https://sigforum.com/eve/forums...0601935/m/8540026864

Thanks!

BB61,

Did some searching and found these threads, two of which mentions member Woodman (who is active here) as the one who sold quality gauges. Smile

Thanks, BB. It was an honor to have represented Meiser for the short time which I did. The search for a decent gauge led me to Meiser, a bulk order for friends and family, additional orders, as well as a 5-year run writing a USA-products blog, AmericanToolbox. Full retail Meiser gauge production did not get off the ground due to packaging and distribution issues. At some point the dial supplier could not certify 100% USA production. Meiser M-series production stopped in late 2014.

2-3 years ago? Time flies! That may have ben 2013-2015. A Ford engineer who found me via GarageJournal bought up the last six around Christmas 2015 from, unbeknownst to me, my last shipment from Meiser. And that was it. I have one (straight chuck no hose with guard) and am always impressed with its snappy response.

We do have a good group here.

What is the brand of traps? I have an intruder in my attic that needs to be taken care of, Clinton style

Would the pest control guy happen to be dave7378? He helped my business grow by the very generous gift of some much needed equipment. That was back when I didn't have two cents to my name. A blessing to be sure.

The pest control guy could also be 220ST

Thanks Woodman. Great gauge.

dave7378 sounds familiar now you all mention it as it pertains to the traps. But I can't rule out 220ST. I went out to check on the name and take a picture of the trap as requested and realized they are all in my trailer which is at a hazmat cleanup business getting, well, cleaned up. I'll look around online. They are black plastic with nasty "teeth" if that helps.

Thanks again!!!

I just looked online and this is what the trap looks like.

That would be my guess also.

Steve is a stand-up guy. I did some business with him back when he was still in the gun business. Always a pleasure dealing with him.
