I want to buy another gauge. Last one I bought was the Intercomp 4" 0-60 gauge for which I've been very pleased. Made in USA, accurate and easy to read.

I was going to buy another but Prime reviews seem a little mixed recently and suggest that it's no longer made in USA.

Are they selling fakes on Prime? Are they still all made in USA? Or has Intercomp succumbed to the dark side and is leveraging China sourced parts and/or manufacturing?

If it's all made in USA, I'll order another but perhaps directly from them to ensure no fakes. If it's not completely made in USA now, then I may consider an alternative. Longacre (made in Taiwan?) seems to get good reviews.

I got one like this from Sporty's Pilot Shop YEARS ago...still have it and still works great. Not sure if it's made in America, though...I highly doubt it.

Thanks. I still have a working Meiser made in USA Accu-gage. It's great and works well. Only problem is that the 2" dial is a little hard to read for me now (on the road when I'm typically using my driving Rx). All the more so because it's a 0-100 instead of 0-60. It's great when I have my reading glasses handy though.

The newer Accu-gage's seem to have mixed reviews though. Made in China stuff. Which is one reason I bought the Intercomp. But now, even that seems to have mixed reviews now..... Sigh.

I'd gladly pay the asking price for a made in USA. But I'm not paying that price if it's made in China now or made using China sourced parts.

There was a guy that sold a USA made gauge on this very forum, Accu-Gage is the brand name but I don't remember the individuals name.

I could have sworn this exact convo already took place here but my search fu is weak.

Member henryaz recommended the Milton S-921 tire pressure gauge. I bought one, and like it. It’s accurate – agrees (within 1 PSI) with the digital TPM of my car. This Milton reads up to 50 PSI, enough for a passenger car, even the compact spare.

Milton S-921 pencil gauge is cheap and accurate.
Even my child least interested in car maintenance (3rd daughter, fourth child out of six total) learned how to use one.

They are well under $7, and can be found everywhere from Northern Tool to that place that many people shop online.

Thanks. I’ve had the Milton in my cart but am really trying to buy a gauge with a bleeder valve. Makes it really easy to set the right pressure, not just check pressure.

My air compressor has an inline Milton gauge built into the hose. Works pretty well but not granular enough and hard to read. I use it to get ballpark (and overinflated) and then use the 4” intercomp with bleeder valve to set exactly.

OK, but the Milton has a little nubby thing on the head to bleed air. It works well enough for me, but I'm not a perfectionist (anymore... but I still have most of my hair, unlike many of my high school classmates)...

Was given this Joe's as a gift a while back and its been the best gauge I've had. Very durable and reliable.

I bought this one 15 years ago and love it. Quick release clips on to the valve stem then you add or bleed air without disconnecting.

The USA-made Meiser I sold on this forum in various chuck formats are no longer available. The company had issues sourcing a USA-made dial at the right price point, and perhaps other undefined material issues kept them from using "Made In USA" on the dial.

A real shame. That is a snappy gauge. I use mine several times a year. A Ford engineer swiped up my last six straight-chuck-no-hose copies 3-4 Decembers ago, and that was it.

At last Meiser conversation, they had a gauge assembled in the USA with domestic & Polish parts and a Swiss movement, but it was LARGE and would have cost $90+. I sent back my demo because of movement alignment within the body and never heard from them again.

Have a look on Summit Racing's website. Their brands may be "Made in America" and you could certainly call their CS to ask.

I have a longacre. I’m quite happy with it. Bought it in June 2016 and it’s still working just fine.
