This. Alen Air Filters out of California. I have two as well, and use them to stay alive (autoimmune lung damage). They are not cheap, but the simplicity, quality, and company service are off the charts. The medical equipment benefit of your medical insurance should pay for it Give them a phone call and you'll see what I mean. Purchase from them directly instead of Amazon etc. and you'll have a better lifetime warranty, refill, and support experience. The price is almost the same. https://alen.com/ Lover of the US Constitution Wile E. Coyote School of DIY Disaster

Since no one has mentioned iQ Air, I'll throw them in the hat for consideration. We've used ours every night for the last 4 years while sleeping. https://www.iqair.com/us/air-purifiers/buy They are super powerful, but can also be very quiet for low particulate level clean up, I would also recommend an air quality monitor to make sure you have an understanding of how well your purifier's working.

Might want to consider adding a navage to the routine. It has certainly helped our allergies tremendously. __________________________

If you have a whole house ac/heating system then consult a good AC/Heating company on adding one to the system, along with a really good 4 to 6 inch filter rack and filter, you'll get way more filtration area. Link This has really helped reduce the dust and dander in the home over the old 1 inch filters. We also installed a UV light in the air handler, it is designed to clear up the air, keeps the inside of the handler clean and they are not expensive units. Link Blueair UV We did this vs individual units all around the house that have to be maintained, if you can do a whole house solution it may be beneficial, I had a local AC company do all the work, and all in parts and labor was under $700

Hit the first 3-month mark for the Winix air purifiers I placed around the house three months ago, so I replaced their activated charcoal filters. Between what I see in the cleanable pre-filters when I vacuum them each month, what I saw the charcoal filters catch, additionally, and what I'm seeing in the appearance of the HEPA filters: These things are taking a ton of stuff out of the air at casa ensigmatic. I have had good luck with the Conway products. Found it interesting that my dentist and the specialist office also use the Conway units in every room.

I'm replying to an OLD POST, but I wanted to let you know know I had to replace one of my Alen air purifiers that went belly up after LONG perfect service. The motor was still good, the rest of the unit was still like new, but the electronic function started misbehaving, probably a potted motherboard of some such undneath the touch screen. So I called them, and a very nice human being answered immediately, as the always do every time, and in five minutes I had a new replacement unit delivered to my front door in around 48+ hours via FedEx from California. I didn't ask for the warranty replacement, she just looked up my account, heard what was wrong, and told me a new one was on the way, no charge naturally. Bingo. I just wanted to say how excellent this company's people and products really are. This is as good as it gets for American companies at their best. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E. Slight thread drift, but also look at a navage nasal irrigation system. Works amazing for me. No seasonal allergies any more. __________________________

We bought Medify air purifiers for each of the kids bedrooms and our bedroom a few months back and I just looked at the filter in the unit in my boys bedroom as it's at the 3 month mark and it's shocking how much gunk is on it. Medify Air We do have the 4 inch furnace filter and I know that gets dirty much faster than it should too. Living on a fairly busy street with constant car traffic and also a few miles from a quarry is the reason I suspect.

In place of the motorized Navage, I use the squeeze bottle NeilMed. It’s from California, USA. I buy it on sale at Costco, so it’s ridiculously inexpensive. ETA: happy with the upright Winix air cleaners from Costco.

Shameless (repeat) plug, for those who may be considering new units: Oransi Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.
