Reading that, I decided to check, and record, my temperature early each morning. I don’t have a fever thermometer. No doubt I could find one on Amazon. But I figure: Why bother? I already have a fast-response Kizen digital food thermometer with 0.1 °F resolution, and a “hold” feature, so I use that.

I’ve calibrated it, and it seems quite accurate. But I figure that good resolution and repeatability are even more important than accuracy. I watch for day-to-day changes.

The only downside of using this this device for a fever thermometer is that its probe is moderately sharp, so I have to be careful sticking it under my tongue.

Of course. In spite of hosts having to lock 2-10 a day, folks just don't get it.

Maybe this was intended as humor. I think I'll get my BBQ temp probe and just keep it in my mouth and set alarm to 100.4 on phone.

Try rectal, its more accurate...

We have a temple thermometer from CVS. So far it has been reading my temp within range.

A guy behind me in line at the grocery store yesterday afternoon clearly had not gotten the message about social distancing. Throat tats for him, accompanied by a gloved Asian daughter(in-law?) or GF with whom he was vaguely flirting. Yes, I did check my temp, to begin a base line. 97.6˚F

Sinus pressure and allergies, mild sore throat, are common this time of 'tween seasons. Windows open or shut ... still going into the 40s and 30s at night.

^^^ Yup. I'm fatigued at bedtime. Sometimes when I wake my throat is dry. I must have had COVID-19, off and, on for 40 years now.
