Im not a connoisseur so I don't have a favorite brand. But I have given a few gifts of jerky subscriptions from Jerky Gent that have been well received. They send an assortment of jerkies (jerkys?) from different brands each month. They also have gift boxes with different assortments. | |||

For something a bit different you might want to consider Biltong. It’s an African way of drying meat with some spices etc. and taste quite good.
