I still use the Hoppes soak method and it still works pretty well even with the watered down "new" version. With extremely heavy fouling, I've started to give them a few hour presoak in Kroil. This seems to loosen the difficult fouling. Thought of mixing some Kroil with Hoppes, but you never know how chemicals will react when mixed Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence

For the last 15+ years I used some type of CLP (Break free), Remington Rem Oil, Hoppes or gunzilla. When I got to AFG in the spring of 2014, I found a bottle of CLP that looked like it had been there since the Russians invaded in Dec of 1979. It was called Clenzoil and I was hooked. I used that stuff on all of our 240's, M9 and M4s. I also want to try eezox in the future. I am visiting family down in Fruit-land Park, Fl and stopped over at the Rural King this morning. As I was wondering aimlessly through the store I noticed they had a display for Lucas gun oil. I have always wanted to try it but I never could find a small bottle. I figured for $3.47 how could I go wrong.
