You better believe it. A waste of my oxygen, the day that he dies there will be a BIG party forthcoming. And, if he’s planted somewhere and I find out where he is interred, as the man said in a movie “What I leave on your grave won’t pass for flowers”.

Yup....not often as I think it's a waste of energy.

But there are one or 2 that I would not cross the street to piss on if they were on fire.

Might pull up a lawn chair and a cooler though

There was one particular person in my life, so evil and destructive I almost gave into the desire I can not mention here.

The scars are still with me and I often ask myself what I would do if I saw that person somewhere, but I have a family and a life to preserve, but the hate burns.

Yes.

Love is integral to the human experience and so is hate. Hate isn't evil if it is applied correctly.

Have you been reading the riots thread?

Yep, and carrying a grudge and getting even is a hobby of mine.

Endeavor to persevere.

Just one. This guy came into the office to get his disability benefits reinstated. He had just been released from prison for the rape of a 9 year old boy. The prison record he had with him to verify the release date happened to include a description of the offense. He had stuffed a sock down the boys throat to muffle the screams while he raped the boy. I still remember the hatred I felt for the POS all these years later.

Hatred? No. Not worth the time or effort.

Dislike. Yeah. I have schemed enough ideas to make that special someone very miserable for a loooong time. Wink

The real test of hatred is you'd piss on the person if they were on fire, while taking care not to extinguish the flames.

Are there people I hate?

Abso-fucking-lutely, though their numbers dwindle each year.

Whenever I think about hating someone, I'm reminded of the Nixon quote:
“Always remember, others may hate you, but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them, and then you destroy yourself.”
I don't think anyone hates me, but it does put a perspective on hating. And yes, I do know one asshole I really do hate.

I can't hate anyone for a prolonged period of time...too exhausting.

I am, and have been, plenty capable. At this time I have only intense dislike for a couple of people, but the potential is still there. The passage of time has dulled the edge of much of it.

Yeah, the problem with that quote is the person who said it. Nixon was a deeply hateful man. As a matter of fact, his hate issues are probably the main factor which sunk his presidency. He wanted to "get" everybody, including Daniel Ellsberg, and those who know the Watergate scandal know how that turned out.

Truly, though he said it on the day he left Washington. It may be that he had learned something, though I doubt it. If anything at all, I think he knew at that point what his hatred of others did to his presidency, but I imagine ol' Tricky Dick remained unchanged.

Nixon was one hateful guy. Of course he had Ole Spiro to help him out.

Without a doubt.

Shoot I get a new one every few days.

Well, if you just count the ones I personally know, then it's usually years in between.

Hate? Sure, I hate some folks.

Why deny a basic human emotion? To try and suppress this particular emotion is false, a cop out.
