Fan-favorite pizza chain flees California as state's $20-an-hour minimum wage controversy ragesquote:
A popular pizza chain is joining other businesses in leaving California to avoid the state's high taxes and cut costs.
Blaze Pizza is relocating its headquarters from Pasadena to Atlanta which will reduce its state corporate tax rate by more than a third.
The company, which has 330 restaurants across 38 states and six countries, has claimed the relocation will spark the 'next wave of growth'.

jed7s9bI’m temped to believe the minimum wage thing is just an easy out for these places that are probably leaving due to the living conditions in places like SF.

All of the above. The wage hike, misbehaving teenagers, tenant fee's, all resulting in the shut-down.
That mall (oldest on the West Coast) has been changing all their storefronts and remodeling everything lately. The neighborhood is solid and far away from the dystopia of downtown, however on the other side is a large RV encampment from the mall to Lake Merced, next to SF State.
