He seems to be short of "reasonable officer" standards in this case. If having one's heart jump because they are momentarily startled equals "fearing for one's life", that's a pretty low bar.

That’s what the jury that gets all the testimony will decide. Simply “fearing for one’s life” isn’t the standard or bar. As I was discussing with someone just yesterday, there must be objectively reasonable reasons for the basis of that fear that justify acting as he did with deadly force. And again, I don’t have enough information to know whether there were such reasons in this incident, and I am therefore not offering any opinions on the question. It was a tragedy no matter what the justification or lack thereof. We should all hope, though, that the jury’s verdict is also based on objectively reasonable grounds, and not because someone dislikes the “government’s” immigration policies or because they don’t believe Somalis should be police officers. ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. Noor trial in hands of the jury https://www.kare11.com/article...af-8872-dde15e7e60ce In his closing argument Monday, Noor's attorney Thomas Plunkett called Ruszczyk Damond's death "the perfect storm" of events that happened in milliseconds. Plunkett told the jury: "Mr. Noor acted as he was trained. He acted as a reasonable police officer." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx nothing that has been reported indicated Noor acted "reasonably". Quite the contrary

Can we all just attend some training course that promotes "shoot first" (not sure if Noor did) and have a surefire defense ready to go?

- Verdict is in - Total of 8 hours of deliberation. Huh. That seems really fast. A verdict has been reached in the murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor, whose monthlong trial went to deliberations Monday afternoon. Hennepin County District Court officials said the verdict was reached about 3:30 p.m. It will be announced in court shortly. A jury of two women and 10 men began deliberations after hearing three weeks of testimony. Noor, 33, is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter for the July 15, 2017 killing of Justine Ruszczyk Damond. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

There is a 100% chance that the black lives matter groups will be protesting this today because they will say he was only found guilty because he was the black police officer. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Now wait for all the rest of information on Noor (field training logs/reports/observations) to come out during discovery in a civil suit.

Good. Now I’d like to see his training records, and how he passed the FTO program. "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor.” Robert A. Good. But how can you be guilty of both murder and manslaughter for killing the same person? God Bless and Protect the Once and Future President, Donald John Trump.

I've never even heard of Third-degree Murder, or really Second-degree Manslaughter (I'm guessing it is like Involuntary Manslaughter). All we have out on the West Coast is 1st and 2nd degree Murder. If the crime doesn't fit meet those elements, it drops to Manslaughter (either voluntary or involuntary) No, Daoism isn't a religion

So this asshole only has to serve ten to fifteen for killing a person. Probably less than that for “good time served”. What bullshit. He belongs behind bars five times as long, if not more.
