Skins2881I've never had dental insurance. Always just paid out of pocket. With my new job it is $1.67 every two weeks, so I figured I'd splurge and see what it covers. My dentist doesn't participate in any insurances, so I have no clue what it will actually cover.

rsboloLike some others here my dentist offers a plan that put me "ahead" by about $30 over my old cash option.

rscalzoDelta Dental is provided through employment.
A max of 2k they don't cover many procedures. Last year they didn't cover over two thousand in Periodontal treatments.
They are probably ok for normal dental work and cleanings and xrays.

The RemoteI have GEHA high option. When I was shopping new Dentists (since my original one passed away), I asked the billing person who she thought was a good provider, and she told me GEHA.
I figure she would know. It's expensive, like 100 a month, but damn near pays mostly everything. And being older in my 50's, I figure a better dental insurer is important.
