I took pride in telling the City Manager that most of my officers would not recognize the Mayor or Commissioners, or for that matter, him, if they were standing right in front of them, and that's just they way I liked it.

Admit the wrong doing, show remorse and maybe let your prospective voters gain by your experience and see that you're a man of the people. These type of interactions are never pleasant and it's a tough job to just stay cool through the whole thing while some asshole talks down to you, and then your supervisor(s) show up, etc.

Several years ago, there was a rookie right off of FTO who was working traffic. He made a stop on a car for 15 over. He cited the driver. I had heard the name over the radio, but it was a sorta, kinda common name.

I get a call about 20 minutes later from the traffic court prosecutor telling me that he just got a ticket for 15 over. He never hinted to the rookie who he was. To this day, that citation hangs over his desk marked “Paid in Full”.

This thread is going south, just like a bunch of them do. The guy was having an affair with some Moslem chick? OK, see what we know. I have no clue as to what she looked like, or what his cheated on wife looked like. For this thread to be really informative, we need side by side nekkid photos of them. None of this modesty crap, just full frontal and side shots so we can see the goods and make our own decisions on if it was a good thing or not.

Keep an open mind. I've never even seen a Moslem chick nekkid. But I'd be willing to sacrifice my innocence to have the experience. Me being all open minded and such.
