Greatest sorrow was the day my mom died, 22 years ago. She was my best friend at the time.

Greatest joy... not sure to be honest. I have no children of my own, so I didn’t get the joy many have in that. Purchase of material possessions don’t really bring joy.

I guess it was never an exact moment, but over the last year, leaving the stressful job (that I miss dearly, everyday) and relocating to Arizona and spending a lot of time with my wife. Living a very different lifestyle, one of almost like semi-retirement. I still work full time, but it feels like retirement compared to my last job.

My greatest joy , my wife and kids, my greatest sorrow the death of my youngest son, we were too much alike, we both loved to hunt, fish, build stuff, both gun nuts and reloaders. His death brought my wife and I so much closer, it was a tough time but we came out of it with a much stronger relationship.

Greatest joy was when I asked my beloved to marry me and she said yes. Not far behind was the joy of our wedding day followed by the birth of our son a few years later.
Greatest sorrow was, after 29 years of marriage,I held her in my arms as she took her last breath.

Joy - two kids, three grand kids

Sorrow - It is kind of troubling to think of this but the greatest sorrow was the young woman in my life who died way too young five years before the joy of the kids.
