I am so sorry to hear this. I feel all your emotions. On Aug 30 this past year my mom found my brother, alone on his couch. I live five minutes away and I'll never forget my mom's phone call telling me to get over here.
He was 46, and we too for the last 20 years or so have tried everything. Like you, I saw the writing on the wall. It took a little time, but for me, I have been able to find at least a little peace knowing his struggles are gone.
My prayers are with you.

My thoughts are with you.

I lost my first sibling in 2012 and I'm the youngest of seven. It ain't going to be long before this becomes routine. To this day I still, at times, want to talk with him about something. Crazy...13 years later. Such is llife...and death. As cold as it sounds, we all go, and it does get better with time. Hang in there, my friend.

Damn that sucks.

Words do not convey feelings some times, but condolences.

Time is a healer of sorts, but remember when it hurts that's love showing through.

Be well
