Oh yes it’s a dim city. Chicago. It’s a string of apartments on the west side of MLK Drive between 64th and 66th street. Named “O’block” for Odee Perry (Black Disciples gang member) who was killed there in 2011 by a girl named Gakirah Barnes. Rapper King Von grew up there.
I’ve done a fair amount of construction in those apartments. I never had any issues but it’s still a pretty rough area. I’m pretty sure it’s got its own Wikipedia page.

Stolen guns- a small possibility, but still a possibility. I don’t know the exact number, but a fair guess would be 20-25% of the guns recovered are stolen.

The switch- easy to get off the internet. Some dude picked up 200 of them from China of all places, sold them on the street for more than double and triple. The good, metal ones are pretty commonly used. So are the plastic, 3D printed ones. Bad thing about the plastic ones is they usually break, and stick in full auto.
On the street? Probably $100 for just the switch.

Now the suppressors are rare. We don’t see too many of them, if we do, it’s usually the “fuel filter” types under the guise of “auto parts”. The suppressor hight sights- easy purchase on the internet- and it’s a Glock- so working/modifying one isn't exactly rocker surgery.

The possession charge- PCS- well… thats not “personal use” charge, that’s ounces of cocaine/heroin.

Except the Gangster Disciples part- YES, years ago, O-Block / Stateway used to be all Gangster Disciples, but the black gangs aren’t what the gangs used to be. The black gangs are all about smaller factions / Cliques / Sets.
Think smaller groups versus one larger gang. So it’s 4 or 5 city blocks against 3 or 4 other city blocks. Years ago, it all used to be Gangster Disciple territory covering square MILES, now everything is just a few blocks.

I’m in the rural to semi rural middle north end of the the county and it’s lily white and peanut and cotton fields. The minorities I encounter are either military /former military and mostly conservative pro law and order or the Hispanics moving here for the booming housing industry.

You might find used ones (read: used by a thug for a drive-by or execution) that cheap. albeit not in a legitimate gun shop.
