I love that movie. Great music and lots of familiar faces. Not many Band members left on the planet.

Yeah, When you join SASS, you have to choose an alias. All Alias choices must be unique. As in, you can't have 100 "Wyatt Earps" walking around. I originally wanted "Virgil Cain" but it was already taken.

I picked up the DVD for $7 at Walmart!

Found out many of the Band members didn't get a cent out of the money from the sales of the DVD and the Movie.

Levon Helm was very bitter about that fact, and also the fact, the movie centered around Robertson, and how some of the other Band members were pushed into the background.

that surprised me as well, but Robertson was a producer along with his buddy Martin

but yeah, I can imagine a lot were ticked off for not getting either face time for their contributions or compensation in royalties

for the record, I'm not sure what makes Robbie Robertson such a great guitarist (other than he bailed out Clapton when the strap came off his guitar at the start of a solo)

I saw Dylan and The Band in Bloomington Indiana. Was 1974 I think. Great show that was a lot like The Last Waltz.

I've played mine so much I think I wore it out - I've loaned out my DVD copy so much I've actually bought 5 of them to give away (they are hard to find).

When I saw the blu-ray I had to get it.

The sound quality is superb and now I know why it too Jeff Lynne so long to do the final mix.

Yes, my favorite concert film, and it is Scorsese, after all.

What an enjoyable film.

Can't help crying when watching Concert for George.

Remember watching/discovering The Band when the Last Waltz came out. Owned the double album and thr movie later on. One of those great concerts / tributes of its time.

But George's Concert is way too powerful for me. Big fan of EC and huge fan of George. Check their album in Japan.

Love that movie, but can't bring myself to watch it.

After what Robbie did to all the other members, I can't. He screwed them out of royalties for their writing credits. He is credited with all writing for each song from their albums, no shared credit.

Robbie is a dick.

Yes, I read Levons Book, "This wheels on Fire" IIRC, and he was not a fan of Robbie at all. I really enjoyed the band, Robbie and Garth are still kicking, Garth is pretty old.
