Don’t forget the Isotopes of Albuquerque.
I think it’s a shame that “Isotopes” supplanted the iconic Albuquerque Dukes minor league teams. My son lived and trained in ABQ for a few years and was able to find me a hat and t-shirt from the old ball club.
and here’s the real shame of the Dukes going away:
Thanks TMats. For a minute or two here I was wondering if I had lost my marbles or something. I lived south of Albuquerque for almost nine years in the 70's and 80's and I was scratching my head thinking "Isotopes"?

BillyBonesNYThe Valley Cats!
When I’m visiting friends in Delaware... I love to see the Wilmington Blue Rocks!
Their mascot is a huge foam Celery... what a great time.
Last, but not least...
The Brooklyn Cyclones.

parallelI was never much into baseball until I went to see the local tipple A team which was the New Orleans Zephyrs. They had a pretty nice stadium, quite a large fan base, and it was fun... at least until late into the season when the oppressive heat made it less fun. Even so... early season made for some really fun nights of watching some surprisingly good games (Especially when the LSU vs Tulane games were held there).
BUT... for reasons beyond me they decided that the team needed a new name... and they ended up calling them the New Orleans... get this... Baby Cakes. Now, I get that this was meant to be an homage to the Mardi Gras tradition of King Cakes that had a hidden baby in it (you get the slice with that baby you were meant to buy the next king cake)... but I mean COME ON! How tone deaf does one have to be to not know that this name was just asking for ridicule. I seriously hadn't went since, and apparently neither did a lot of others because they "ain't dare no mo."

TMatsThere’s a theme here, isn’t there. Following in the footsteps of the Banana Slugs, many of these minor league teams have decided that their teams can only sell fan paraphernalia if the team has a “cute” name.

Otto PilotThe Burlington Bees. Not because I live anywhere near them, but once upon a time I got some free tickets from the hotel, so I wandered over, grabbed a Tub O Beer, sat in the bleachers and had more fun watching baseball than I ever had or have had since.

BytesI absolutely hate baseball... but going with the family to a SLC Bee's game is fun as hell. Being there in person, with the crew, eating a dog, and having a beer is a really good time for me. We could probably have as much fun at a park but no dogs and beer

stickman428I feel the same way Bytes. I’m not big on watching baseball on TV but I love going to my local minor league ballpark!

GibbThe Portland Sea Dogs fan appreciation game is done up "Field Of Dreams" style, where the players emerge from cornstalks lining the outfield, and they come all the way into the stands to shake hands and greet the fans.
Truly one of the best game experiences I've ever been to.

Lansing Lugnuts
Great Lakes Loons (Midland, MI)
Take your pick. All three are within a very reasonable drive from home and all of them put on a really good show.
