Peace through superior firepower
| ^^Did somebody say "ratings boost"? I think so! Assholes, one and all. Idiocracy, here we come. Fuck these people. Get "Jaiden" up there to defend his mommy. Oh, wait, he'd just send one of his 27 bodyguards to do the job. No sympathy, none at all. I am amused. I like Smith but his family is odd, and that's being kind. And, let's be honest- when you have the kind of money Will Smith has, any comedian who insults the man's wife in his presence is playing with fire. |

Conservative Behind Enemy Lines
| I don't like or dislike either Chris Rock or Will Smith. But, that was assault. Period. Smith should be arrested for that.
Of all the enemies the American citizen faces, the Democrat Party is the very worst. |

Yes, even if Rock decides to not press charges (which I doubt he would), law enforcement authorities in that jurisdiction have been or will be made aware of the incident, which was recorded in high def with surround sound ( ) , so, uhh, I imagine an arrest may be pending. Otherwise, it's a clear signal that the elites can get away with anything. |

Nope. Listen, not only to what Smith said after he returned to his seat, but also, how he said it- twice. He laughed initially because he was being watched live by millions of people, and then, the insult sank in and he went with his impulse. This was genuine. Not to mention, you don't plan a publicity stunt around making jokes in public about your wife's chronic medical condition. |

A Grateful American
| I don't think so. Chris Rock was defiantly off half a bubble for a few seconds, his "ad lib" and getting tongue tied seem to be real.

| I could certainly be mistaken... But, I think this could turn out to be like when Joaquin Phoenix acted crazy on late night talk shows and pretended he was leaving acting for a rap career. Cursing on live TV (which gets bleeped out anyway) just adds credibility to the whole thing. And lest we forget, these are actors. We'll find out if this was an Oscar-worthy performance.

| Simpin ain’t easy is it Will? The joke was funny and in reality completely harmless. Medical condition or not, it’s just words. She is worth something like 50 million while he is worth something like 350 million. Again, in reality, I think you’d have millions of people lining up to purposely lose their hair for just 1 million dollars. And there is treatment for it so come on. I did stop and think, hey if this was Bradley Cooper doing this or Josh Brolin, they’d be in cuffs almost immediately.
What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone |

| Smith’s response was completely inappropriate. When a response to an insult like that is acceptable on such a grand stage, our “civil” society degraded. |

It remains to be seen just how acceptable it was. And Hollywood is not our society. It's a group of out-of-touch elites who have no idea what real life is like. |
