Some of the bond measures I was against passed, but others went my way.

The two I cared most about were 4 & 10. 10 passed by an even wider margin (95.79% yes in my county and 94% statewide).

The biggest surprise was only 12% of registered Texans voted. In contrast, 18% turned out in 2005 to ban same sex marriage and I thought more would be interested in making it tougher for an income tax.

On a local note, the astroturf bond failed

I went around 1000 and only 150 people had been thru in a polling place that covered three precincts in a city of 70k.

Mrs Mike went at lunch to the same place and she said they were lined up out the door and around the VFW building.
