| $0.00 Last "barber" cut I got was just before I retired in 2011. I use the dog clippers with a #4 on top and a #3 on the sides and back. Sometimes I get the edges straight, sometimes not and couldn't care less.

Optimistic Cynic

| $20+tip after the senior discount (which I had to remind them about). I've cut my own hair a couple of times (with some help from Mrs. A.) I'd do it every time if I didn't have to clean up after myself, maybe outdoors?
I have been looking for a competent regular barber for a long time now, seems like all the shops use Latinas with varying skills and attitudes. I had a sweet Vietnamese woman for about 20 years until she retired.
I have found over the years that one could do worse than finding a barbershop near a military base, and to stay away from those in exotic/vacation destinations. |

| Last haircut I paid cash for was 50 cents from a local alcoholic barber. That was in high school. Now I pay on the installment plan. Wife has been cutting it for 54 years. She's cuts it like she wants it and that's good enough for me.
I had my patience tested... I'm negative.

| For years I got a haircut from a barber who did two tours in Vietnam on river patrol boats. He saw a lot of action and the unit he was in was the same one John Kerry served in. He said Kerry was an ass even then. Now I get a cut from a young woman and it is $23. I give her $40 and let her keep the change. She is a good kid but I miss the Vietnam stories.

| I haven't paid for a haircut since Summer 1969. Over the years, between roommates and girlfriends, I've had some humiliating to decent jobs. The wife got good at it long ago, I've been very pleased, no complaints.
