Seems, since I've been wearing the Monster a lot, the Citizen will get to the point it no longer will connect to the phone app.
I've even tried syncing it, manually, to the phone daily; doesn't seem to make any difference.

Have had to remove/unpair & re-add a few times, but now that isn't even working. Just get stuck in a 'try again' loop with no success.

I have not had any issues.
You Apple or Android? I am Apple and have not upgraded to iOS 16 yet.

I have worn a Fossil Hybrid HR for years. I am thinking about upgrading to the Citizen.

What I like is that it is limited and has weeks of battery life. I have had the Full "Smart Watches" and I got rather bored with them.

I have really enjoyed the hybrid watch life.

Even with the above mentioned complaints, I still really like mine.
It gets less wrist time since I got the Monster, which extends the time between charges.

Will probably shelve it until the app is fixed. It gets the most wear when I'm home or for workouts.

Funny you mention Fossil, if I don't sync it for a while I get a notification from Fossil that it needs to be synced. Not sure if Citizen owns Fossil, but guessing this one is related.

Fossil is part of Citizen.

The first Citizen Smart Watch, the Citizen CZ Smart, is basically just a clone of Fossil smart watch with a slightly different looking case design and a few minor changes.

The new Apple app SUCKS!!!!!!! It is horrible. I literally wrote them yesterday telling them they need to fire everyone that touched the production and approval of the app.

Their response was we are well aware of the issues be on the lookout for a new release.

Sounds similar to the response on the Android side

Also my phone battery is draining quickly compared to before the app redesign.

And it appears battery life on the watch itself is down by about 2 days now as well.

Citizen YOU HAD BETTER CLEAN THIS UP!!

Mine is on the shelf while we're off to CO.
Hopefully an app update is in the works

App update [Android] downloading now.
Won't know the effect until we get home Monday night.
Fingers crossed they got it fixed.

Update:
Got the new app loaded & synced with the watch.

A bit of interface difference on both the app & watch.
Had to pretty much set up as new again & all the notifications were set to 'on'.
Got a vibration with every step I took, and an alert every time the song changed streaming in the car.

Got it pared back down to my normal & so far working well.
No appreciable difference in battery consumption on the phone nor watch since getting it set back to my liking.

I like the new watch interface and having many more options/settings available on the watch itself.
I hope the redo the UI on the app as it is terribly clunky, difficult to navigate, all the setting you need to access are buried in multiple swipes, and switching between alarms is difficult actually nearly impossible to have multiple schedules like before.

I've not used the alarm function, but setting up the watch face is a pain & less intuitive than before.
I got my icons back, but if I change the background it blanks them out. Manually adding them back is near impossible to get them centered.
