Don't buy Jeld-Wen.

Man, that's totally an "oh shit, Dad is going to be SO mad!" look on the dog's face at the end, there.

And, on a more serious note, where the hell was that door made? In China?

I had a friend that raised Newfoundlands. When the front door opened, A salesman saw a 150# dog next to a 120# woman and froze. He then said, "Does your dog bite?"

She said, "He doesn't bite me"

I bet his tail was between his legs when his owner got home.

My wife was a small-town girl. When we first got together, she moved to Chicago to join me.

She was walking in the park along the lakeshore, with Jesse Mastiff -- all 200+ pounds of him. A man approached and started to speak to my wife. Jesse turned sideways, placed his body between them, and started leaning on the man, using his weight to make the man move back, while making a low rumbling sound in his chest.

Man asked, "Does that dog bite?"

Wife replied, "Only on command."

Man apparently remembered a very important appointment on the other side of town.

When I was a kid, a Mastiff owned a friend's family.

He was like that about a lot of things, he would get between people and "lean" them where he wanted them to go, or not go, all the time not looking at you or acting as if you were even there.

It was funny.

Door? Bad security. Dog? Good security. Seriously though, they need a better door.

When I was a kid, my sister's next door neighbor had a YUUUUGGGGGEEEEE German Shepard. I didn't know this. Someone said my sister was at the neighbor's, so I walk over there. I ring the doorbell, the neighbor opens the inner door, and the shepard lunges at the screen door to get to me. I was scared shitless for a second. Turns out the dog was ridiculously friendly, and just wanted to introduce itself (in the hyper ways a dog can.) Within five minutes I was playing the the shepard, and we were best friends.

She appears to ring the doorbell. Maybe twice? As she puts the paper into into the door, she's clearly peeping into the house. That's when the dog reacts.
I'm not sure if she wasn't casing the house out. Let's see, nobody answered, looking inside I can see.... I doubt whoever hired her would condone this staring into the house.

Solicitors are one of the reasons I leave our entry door open, when we are home, with the full view storm door locked. Not too many solicitors are truly motivated to knock on the door. Smile
