Gone but Together Again. Dad & Uncle ![]() |
So my daughter is in her final semester in College and was in New York City last week-end for a seminar. I received a text from her that I needed to cancel her personal credit card and one of our credit cards she carries for emergencies. Come to find out she lost her wallet with her drivers license, college ID, medical insurance card, insurance card for her truck, etc. It happened somewhere at/between the hotel where the seminar is taking place, Chipotle, or a coffee shop. She followed her tracks to no avail. So I went through the process and the longest time spent was with the State of MO to uncover the process to get a replacement drivers license for someone who attends school in Virginia and thus was not presently in MO. The next morning she called me to tell me someone turned in her INTACT wallet at the hotel, AND , they actually PUT A $5 bill in it for her. She told me she had already spent her last dollar so my guess is the person figured she was a broke college student and wanted to help her out. So a broad based thank you to the person in New York who was kind enough to return her wallet and give her $5! No name was given so we have no specific person to thank.

There are plenty of good people out there, they just don’t usually make the news, so they get overshadowed by the turds who do make the news. Thanks for sharing a good story on this Monday....hopefully it’s not an April fools!

I walked out of Sam's club, ten days ago, noticed a napkin under the wiper blade. Jill told me that the wind caught her door and ripped it from her hands and it scraped my passenger side door. Left her number, ![]() 1st time in 40 years that someone did that . I called her and told her that her door actually put more of her car paint on my door than vice versa. I thanked her for her consideration and told her it's a 15 y.o. car , I am not concerned. Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first
