I just love the whine of that B-52.

The escorts are F-16, A-10 Warthog, F-22 and F-35? Not too shabby a lineup if I'm correct, and, I think, as unusual to see all four together as the bombers.

There are certain aircraft that just seem to have been gotten "right" based on their longevity in service and general utility. I would certainly include the B-52 in this list, maybe at the top of the list, along with the DC-3, 707, and just a few others. The A-10 is a strong candidate for this list, and the recent heroic performance of the B-2 should not be overlooked. I would welcome additional nominations from the SF aviation buffs (I don't know enough to be a buff).
