I did a lot of driving and waiting in San Francisco Drank lots of coffee.

Blue Bottle: expensive but actually tasted good. They sell crap merchandise for outrageous prices but tje coffee was surprisingly decent. Almost worth the price.

Most other places the coffee was average at best

Philz was highly tauted. I either chose wrong. Or the beans were off. Or the brewer screwed up. Almost the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Including instants. Especially for the price. And the wait. Fair warning for y’all that may visit.

What does your subject line mean? You might want to make it clearer.

Maybe...

San Francisco Coffee (Good: Blue Bottle; Bad: most places; Ugly: Philz)

I actually actually liked Philz. I order the mint mojito to try. It was novel.

Konta88, You probably want to insert SF Bay Area and coffee somewhere in the title. Stream of conscious titles don't tell the whole story.

The more an establishment expands, the greater the chance its quality can be compromised. I'm not a coffee aficionado like some, Philz I think has maybe too many choices, perhaps it was the type of beans or, type of roast. Philz certainly has it's fans and appeals to a specific market, as does Blue Bottle, Equator, Ritual, and Highwire, each is good for certain tastes.

I first thought it was an oblique reference to the "litle blue pill."

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

Smile Actually, yes, a bit of that. And also posting on the phone, on the beach. There was a sight on the beach from which I had to distract myself. Painful to see. Imagine an old, bald, big bellied guy in a semi-transparent white thong with a 'sock' for the front appendage. And dancing and singing some sort of show tune.

It was worse than glancing at the sun. Desperate to do something to remove the image from the brain..... Smile
