Woke the Vette up from it's Winter nap, gave it a quickie wash to get the dust off, checked the tire pressures and took it for a spin.

Remembered how to drive a stick, all the temperatures and pressures came up to normal, managed to get in and out without injuring myself Big Grin

All my wheeled motorized vehicles are on Harley Davidson battery tenders when they are not being actively driven/ridden.
Even my "daily driver" Jeep Wrangler Rubicon parked under the carport roof is set up with a battery tender. Since retirement, daily driving just isn't a constant any longer.

With the exception of the Yamaha YZF R3 motorcycle. That has a lithium ion battery in it for weight savings.
The battery manufacturer stated it should not be charged continuously, or left of a lithium ion battery tender for long periods of time.

I've been spending considerable time out in my building doing Kubota work, and I have remembered to plug the Yamaha in while out there working.
Several more weeks and I will be riding motorcycles, and cutting the lawns!

Like you, I am glad spring is near. It has been a long cold hard winter.
Hopefully, the extended periods of sub zero winter temperatures will put an ass kicking on the ticks that can spread Lyme disease.

Stop it, resident tractor expert! That’s still a stick isn’t it? Or does your kubota have a hydrostatic drive? Smile

I was looking at this video this evening and it looks like Lyme is getting worst worldwide:

Hydro. When I bought it, I was seriously concerned about that, but after 10 years (this month!) of playing with it, I'd never go back.

I saw bluebirds today and yesterday. The tree swallows will be back very soon also.

Thought about taking the Mustang out for a spin the other day, but there's still too much gravel on the roads (we don't salt around here...sand and gravel). Paint chips and cracked windshields are a real pain.

I bought a 10 acre lot in 1980 to build my dream house. One of the things that sold me was a bluebird. I had about 20 boxes over time and they were used by titmouse, chickadees, tree swallows, bluebirds, and flying squirrels.

I checked the boxes weekly and had about eight pair of nesting bluebirds. Then around 1992, three or four pair of tree sparrows arrived even thought the lot is 1000 yards from a stream. The tree swallows were around for five or six years and then they must have got lost in a storm while migrating. I fledged about 2000 bluebirds during a forty year period. Recently, seven boxes were destroyed by a neighbor with one bird killed that was in the box.

Birds can be a life time of enjoyment. When I catch squirrels destroying stuff in the garden, out comes the Conibear traps. The dead squirrels are placed on top of the 4 by 4 posts at the garden for the resident Coopers hawk.

Here he is eating a something:

Nice!

I bought a used Husqvarna with hydrostatic drive back in 2006. Never had any issues with it.

They don't salt or brine the roads down south, so I get to hear the roar of an 8.3L V-10 all year 'round. Big Grin

Sounds like there is more to this story!

Mag. Chloride? Hate that crap. I will take sand and cinders all day long. Yeah, Mt. does mostly salt unfortunately.

I caught these dogs running loose on my property and when I went to check the name on the collar, the dog bite me on the hand. It didn't break the skin but it wasn't until several weeks later that I saw the dogs and the owner. He wouldn't say anything or apologies.

He has also been fined for doing construction work without the proper permits. I have also caught him on video messing around but not on my property.
