Coloradohunter is correct. I stopped at Little Bighorn. Well worth stopping, walking and spending some time there.

While in the Black Hills, if you want a great hike, drive up to Silvan lake and hike to the top of Black Elk (Harney) peak. You can see 4 states from the top. The structure at the top is an old fire tower the CCC built in 1939. It's about an 8 mile round trip.

Usually opens for Memorial Day, but check. We stayed in Red Lodge then drove into the Park and stayed one night at Mammoth Hot Springs and one night at Yellowstone Lake. It was right about now 15 years ago. View from top of Beartooth Pass: Harshest Dream, Reality

Say hello to the Duttons. Beth in particular. Just watch out for Rip when you do... actually, besides being a smartass. I was thinking I need to add yellowstone to my bucket list after watching that show. Gorgeous scenery. ------------------ SBrooks

You might consider Jewel Cave near Mt Rushmore. We enjoyed it but call ahead for the reservation. https://www.nps.gov/jeca/index.htm Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed. Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists. Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

There's a private company offering tours of yellowstone. Take both the upper and lower loop trous. Each takes a day. That's what we did when we were there in 2017. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
