What do we like for all in one printers?

For instance brochures are made for every open house and mailers to neighbors of houses sold are all done by a pro company. She’s just printing docs that need signature and sometimes house info if brochures don’t come in time. Nothing she’s done says she doesn’t get much business because she gets a lot of business.

She also has access to laser printers at the office. But home is more convenient. This printer has to fit on her desk.

HP. Our new one communicates with HP when the ink gets low and mails the cartridge(s) to us. No need to go the the store-this is a great feature!

The 1st thing I do in buying a new printer is look for aftermarket ink. Like here a 5 pack for $12

Hard Pass on that feature, or anything like it! I neither need, nor do I want any IOT devices 'phoning home', especially for ANY automatic billing related purposes!

I completely understand, my wife is a realtor too.

My suggestion still stands. Anyone hands me something off an inkjet, and I just think, "Ugh." I'm likely not the only person with this sort of response.

We're talking like a $200 difference between inkjet and color laser, before taking into consideration things like ink waste from cartridge cleaning and per page costs and overall longevity.

If you are going to hand a client a print out with text on it, why not make sure the text is laser crisp?

I guess I assumed it cost a lot more for laser. We didn’t really look into it. But if anyone has scoffed at some printout she handed them they certainly didn’t tell her.

Going with laser on both machines greatly reduces the common issues of plugged ink lines and much of the cleaning related to inks. Toners are a bit more expensive but I like the convenience.

Look at the purchase price plus the expected cost of ink / toner for a couple years.

Personally, I don't make the decision based on price. I have owned both ink jets and laser; the ink jets needed a lot more attention to keep them running while the lasers were much more trouble-free.

I have found that Brother had the most reliable software (drivers).

Used to be nobody would tell you to your face, today I'm not so certain that the same courtesy exists in people, but doubt that print quality equates to walking away from buying the house of someone dreams.

Laser would give a better sharper image and text, if it's going to be out in front of people then it's the nicer option to use.

I run a HP 8715 print, scan, fax print from phones and other devices. Print quality is good, its quick enough main use is the multi document scanner.

Yeah she’s not printing anything that could make or break her business. I used to have issues with inkjets all the time. Surprised how long her HP was trouble free. We will see how the epson goes. She certainly doesn’t need to worry about increasing business. She’s actually trying to slow down a bit.
