Unfortunately I can't talk about why he's here and what we do but I'm going to show this fella what an American celebration is like.

Yes he served in the IDF and everyone is still in the reserves.
He told me of all the new weapons they have now and who gets the older stuff.

He's awestruck that we can just go buy a gun here.
He is absolutely in love with America. He absolutely loves North Georgia.
He said we're nothing like the movies portray us(as stupid hicks) but he did hear of Southern hospitality and we plan on showing him how Georgians truly are. Oh he wants to try REAL fried chicken too. I'll have to take him somewhere with authentic fried chicken.

So tomorrow we'll have a big BBQ with burgers, hotdogs and smoked pork ribs. Yes, pork.
You won't believe how many Israelis eat pork, especially BBQ. They LOVE American BBQ.

So I told him we'll shoot too. He lit up when I told him about our guns.
He said he's never fired a handgun, even in the IDF.
Marzy is bringing the Desert Eagle for him to play with. And I have the 1911s.

Then we'll set off fireworks. I can't wait for him to report back what we're really like here.

I'll get photos and video. This is going to be awesome.

Thirty years ago I was a skydiving instructor in Arizona. We had been enjoying the company of the English national skydiving team who was training at our dropzone. We all became friends over several months and when it came to the 4th of July we invited them to a jumpers house for a BBQ, guns and fireworks.

The normally boisterous group of English jumpers seemed quite reserved at our celebration. Eventually they admitted it was the first time they had been to a 4th of July celebration and they didn't quite know how to appropriately act at a party celebrating "your bloody insurrection." Of course they eventually loosened up, enjoyed the fireworks and then drank us all under the table.

Anyway you story reminded me of my experience. I hope your guest and your family have a great celebration!

Maybe this Beretta 92FS was his duty weapon back in the day. Seriously, I picked up an IDF marked Italian 92FS stripped receiver many years ago. I assembled it onto a .22lr conversion kit. It always goes bang and is cool as hell.

It's a little hard to see but the date code is "AT" which translates to 1988.

Cool!

You guys are going to have a lot of fun!

Fried chicken, BBQ, ribs... Sounds like I'm in the wrong part of North Georgia.

Now if you guys wanted more than just one Desert Eagle...

The fun part is, the one that is front and center, is from the IDF. Big Grin

Let us know how it goes.
