Well...my BRUINS broke yet another record last night. Most wins in a season (63) in the HISTORY of the National Hockey League, beating out Detroit and Tampa Bay who were tied at 62. Interesting factoid...both Detroit and Tampa Bay achieved their 62 games by winning several games in a row to end their respective seasons. The B's, on the other hand, can extend the record to 65 games, as they broke the record with 2 games remaining in their season. In fact, if they get just 2 points from their last 2 remaining games (win one game or OTL in both), they will achieve 133 points and will break yet another record for most points by a team in a single season. That is a 1976-1977 record of 132 points held by the Montreal Canadians. Of course it would be GREAT if they could win out and set the record at 135 points. And how fitting their last game of the season is in Montreal!!! I look for Boston to be in the Stanley Cup finals. Deep bench, LOTS of good players held in reserve, bottom 6 scoring capability, and GREAT goaltending...should win the Vezina (Ullmark) as well as the William M. Jennings Trophy with Swayman. Oh yeah...and GREAT coaches behind the bench, which Jim Montgomery should be a shoe-in for the Jack Adams award. I believe, also, there is an award for GM of the year as well...should be Don Sweeney! Side note...with Pastrnak's hat trick yesterday, he achieved 60 goals for the season and his 300th career goal. Only Phil Esposito has more than 60 goals in a season for the B's, and he did it 5 times. So Pastrnak is technically #6 on the list. I'll be holding my breath through the playoffs, though. The B's have been playing a LOT of 1-goal games and they're not immune from doing something stupid and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I just pray EVERYONE enters the playoffs healthy and free from pain. Need to get Faligno and Forbort back on the bench!! Good luck to the B's!!!! "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Man the B's look unstoppable. Vegas just pulled another Tampa 2.0. Mark Stone back is now ready for the playoffs when the cap means nothing. The NHL really needs to do something about this tactic. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

There's the President's Trophy kiss of death that is always a factor however the B's are just clicking, even with key players out of the lineup. If I'm a Bruins fan (Ducks fan here hoping to win the Bedard sweepstakes) anything short of appearing in the Stanley Cup finale will be a huge bust and disappointment. If they get knocked out by a Wild Card team that would be a crush of death but if they make it to the finals and don't win, it would still sting but be an understandable loss. They simply have to get through to the finals and if not, 63 to 65 games seems meaningless.

As a Blues fan, 2019 was sweet! But with the Blues out and rebuilding, I'll go ahead and say... Let's Go Bruins! "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

You just have to love the Leafs and Austin. There's a huge weird factor that the best player on that Canadian hockey team is a Mexican guy from Arizona who can't grow a decent mustache.

Do---or do not. There is no try. |
Montgomery was a great coach in Dallas before some personal issues caused his demise. I was very happy that he got very serious help and put his life back in order. After time in St. Louis as an assistant, the Bruins took a chance on him and he has really responded by handling the egos and talent extremely well.

My well now Kane-less Blackhawks just ended another poor season. But, I was in the Tampa area for a few weeks in March and watched the Lightning a couple of times. I’m going to root for them as my proxy team. _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

Pulling for my Lightning but I think Toronto wants payback too bad for them to get far. This is Boston's year anyway. ___________________________

Prediction on my Avs. They are not going to repeat. This year injuries have just been awful. We have went through this season without 3 of the top six we had last year, and a third of our defensive corp out. We've seen a whole bunch of AHL players playing with this team this year. I never would have predicted Rantanen and MacKinnon both having career years, and actually flirting with winning their division. Don't know what's going on with Landeskog, but with every month he's out a career ending injury gets closer and closer. Looks like Makar is ready to go they are are just holding him out to make sure. And, our young gun Byram is going to be a beast when he grows up. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

My LA Kings are battling injuries- dont think were gonna top the Oilers- mostly because you arent allowed to hit that pussy McDavid. That being said- Im happy with the way the rebuild went, were back to being contenders with new blood. "I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. It looks like it’s the Bruins cup to loose. They have a fantastic potential for the run if they stay healthy. My Pens on the other hand………. It’s gonna be a year for an early garden That’s all I’m sayin

Well...my Bruins did it. They won out to the end of the season to finish with 65 wins and 135 points...65-12-5. Incredible individual, team, and league records broken and set all year by this amazing team. They also tied the record for most road wins in a season with 31. Looks like they'll take on Florida Panthers in round 1. Hopefully that home ice advantage the entire way through the playoffs will help!! Good luck to all teams in the playoffs. My Ducks are losing to the Kings by a pair in the second. Columbus won tonight so that means if my team loses tonight, we will officially be the shittiest team in the league and sitting in best spot to win the Bedard sweepstakes. But we know the league hates Anaheim so the 'hawks will get it.

Our Kane-less Blackhawks are now without Toews as well. Congrats to the Bruins, what a season they had.

OK...game 2 tonight. B's need to tighten up on D and keep Florida from crashing the net. They also need to shake off some rust, nerves, or whatever it is when on offense. Too many mishandled pucks and bad passes. Looks like Bergeron will be a game-time decision...stomach bug going around the locker room???? If true, THAT sucks!!!! GO BRUINS!!! p.s. 6 of 8 game 1's were won by the visiting team... "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D.
