Thank you all for the kindhearted words. He loved us and we deeply loved him. We are all deeply shocked.

I am grateful to the Lord for all He does and allows.

The Lord is truly great and merciful. I have bought things over the years thinking I was building up a collection for him but now they all seem worthless and trivial. King Solomon said it best when he said it is all "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity".

He was my little shadow and I would give anything to have my shadow back.

I will be praying for you all.

As a father, I can't even begin to fathom the pain you are feeling. Glad you have a strong faith to rely upon, only He is strong enough to help you. You are in my prayers.

So sorry for your loss. I’m praying for you and your family.

Do not be ignorants concerning those who have fallen asleep lest you sorrow as those who have no hope. For if we believe Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus. I Thess 4:13-14

Patw, you’ve been on my mind all day.

There’s nothing I can say that will be of any value to you, but I do wish you well and have put up many prayers for you and your family.

Thank you friends. We actually had a good day today. Some of my sons friends stopped by and we had a little cookout in his honor. We found out some more info. we had questions/concerns on/about and the Lord was truly great and merciful. We had know the kids he hung out with since they were all in kindergarten and other friends came later but the love and help they gave him and us were truly a blessing.

One young man, bore the guilt of knowing what my son was thinking of doing months ago but he helped my son get through some hard times, when it all could have ended quicker. This poor guy was apprehensive about coming in to our home and telling us anything about what he knew but he did. We embraced him, hugged him and loved him like he was my own. We told him because of all the things he did-stayed up late on the phone talking my son down from where he was psychologically, etc., that gave us extra months to spend and be able to hold and love my son.

We were receiving blessing upon blessing from the Lord in truly mysterious ways through my son's friends. We were able to read the Bible with this fine young man and he stated he was a new Christian which made our hearts filled with joy. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

As tough as that must of been. Sounds like it was amazing also. Being surrounded by his friends and those that cared deeply for him and you guys as well. Glad it happened that way for all of you. God Bless.

It is wonderful how the Lord can work in the midst of so much pain and tragedy. I pray that God may continue to comfort you, your family, and loved ones and bring you the peace that only He can bring.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I find myself now with things that brought me joy before and how they no longer have a purpose. I was trying to sell some firearms on a local board, at what I thought were/know are low prices and it is amazing the hate speech that has been thrown in our direction.

My son and I had a shared love for firearms and we were the only ones who would go shooting together. So what I was buying and collecting was to be for him in the future. Now as I try to separate from my loss, it is sad how many angry and lost people there are. I told them in a personal message I would be praying for them as that is what the Good Lord would want me to do as His child as I try not to let hate, anger, etc.. control my life but try to allow love through. Thanks for listening to my ramblings.
