Let us know when it arrives whether it’s diecast or the specs on SOG’s website

Do people throw tomahawks as weapons or just for fun?

Throwing your weapon at your opponent just seems like a bad idea. Do the zombies throw them back? I guess throwing them at unarmed zombies might be ok.

From what I've read, the 2 headed tomahawks/hatchets throw better due to balance. I saw a couple comments that the spike on one side and hatchet/tomahawk blade on the other affects the balance which produces poor throwing results.

Please report back if you find one in stock at a Home Depot. I just checked a bunch of HDs and none have it in stock - you have to order it.

When I worked at HD 4 years ago a customer complained about them - like - what does someone need this for, and I'm sure the jackwad wrote a letter to corporate.

Received mine 30 minutes ago. It appears to be the United Cutlery M48 Hawk Tactical Tomahawk. Material is cast 2Cr13 stainless steel.

Box says SOG Tomahawk F01T-N; UPC/bar code is 729857990691. It has a skull & crossbones logo on the axe head and does not have SOG on the handle like the box shows. Googling the UPC brings up a different-looking SOG tomahawk.

For $20 it will do the trick. It's got over 500 mostly-positive reviews on Amazon

Length: 15.5"
Axe Head: 7.5"
Weight: 1 lb

Mine came today, too. Exactly the same UC-looking product Mikey got in the same SOG box. I’m actually thinking that these are straight up forgeries that RK bought a container full of unknowingly and then dumped as quickly as possible for $20/ea. when they were informed by another buyer.

Mine are going back Monday. Mad

Semi related... why does an Estwing Welder's hammer cost $329.95?

More importantly, why does it look like.. umm?

Annnnd, once again, SIGforum costs me money!!! Eek

I had no idea Estwing made a Tomahawk Axe! Big Grin

Yup! Heading over to Home Depot today for one. Will work great for keeping in the motor home for making kindling + zombie protection while grilling in the campground. Big Grin

Local Home Depot did not have one on hand, so I ordered one online with free shipping to store. Supposed to take a week or so to get here.
