Nice job, that's a lot off work.

Did you use your 10mm to knock down the tree then the chainsaw to cut it up?

In-laws' backyard, edge of woods. I'll be able to drive my truck and splitter right up to the logs.

When you're up for a good work out, dump the chainsaw and grab one of these.

That's impressive. That's some fine looking wood you're displaying, son.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Nice. Locally, I have benefited from a glut of free firewood. Last spring one of the local orchards plowed up a large number of old apple trees and left them there n piles, and about the same time the state cut down a lot of trees in a several mile section of the I-81 corridor where I live. A LOT. Many were mature red oaks. I have been cutting and splitting like a bastard for the last 3 weeks (recent surgery kept it from being most of the winter). The apple needs only minimal splitting, and the red oak is shockingly easy to split; even the big 20”+ rounds. I’m thinking it’s just a matter of time before the DOT comes back in to remove it all.

It’s a good feeling still burning at the end of the season and having over 2 cords already piled and drying out for next fall.

Nice!
The trouble with your post is that it reminds me of the need to cut up three large blow downs in our woods that occurred this winter Smile

A workout for sure!
