I really don't want to burn it in my snow blower or chain saw. Nor do I want to toss out the can (plastic jug). The "authorities" don't want me to dump it in the sewer. I don't have any neighbors I dislike that I could dump it in their gas tank. I'm sure not burning it in one of my vehicles.

Use it to light a bonfire.

Do you burn brush? You can use it for years for that if you don’t mind storing it. You don’t need a lot to get brush going but you do have to use care when lighting it. The vapor envelope can be explosive if you use too much.

My city has free hazardous waste disposal for residents. Old paint, motoroil, electronics, batteries, etc. There's a quantity and frequency limit, but I've never encountered it. Perhaps look at your city's waste disposal website for collection sites?

Parts stores have collection vats.

I've burned loads of old mixed gas in my 4 stroke mower after diluting. If it is 50:1 mix, I might not even dilute.

Back when I had my old Jeep, I thought nothing of tossing a gallon or two of mixed gas in the tank before gassing up.

Not sure I'd do that on my current truck though. Too many sensors.

Would it be bad to put it in a vehicle? I'm thinking a gallon or two of the mix added to a mostly full tank of fuel would be a bit like adding seafoam oil treatment.

I have just poured it into my car gas tank. Depending on the amount, it doesn't have to be all at once.

into your car (or at least a modern emissions one) would be beyond dumb. It has the possibility of risk to the catalytic converter. Which is likely a serious financial mistake. Burn it in something that doesn't care like lawnmower, snowblower or whatnot. Of burn it in a backyard fire. or give it up on hazmat day. but don't put it in your car.

Dilution ratio would depend on how old "old" is.

Some years back I had a '94 Blazer that I ran nothing but 2 cycle mix in for about 8 months. (wasn't using up old gas, I was making it intentionally for the truck)

'94 is way before today's emissions requirments and equipment. really bad, bad idea in 2021 for anything made this century.

If there is nothing wrong with the oil. It's great lube for diesel injectors. Just add it to the fuel.

It's 2 stroke mix, already mixed with fuel and it's now old. Adding that to a diesel will blow it sky high! There will be some melting of pistons and valves going on.

I would contact the city as most have a disposal site for stuff like that.

If it's unleaded, I just dump a gallon or so into my car or pick up after I've filled the tank and burn it that way. Mine has been maybe a year or so old.
If it's 6 months old, I'd just run it with maybe some new gas in the tank to dilute it a bit.
Just make sure it hasn't been sitting so long that it has rust, water, etc.

burn out yellowjacket holes.
pour and burn for weed killing or edging along driveway.
pour a cup at a time into car tank at each fill up.
pour on a stump you don't want and light it up.

If you wait until summer, you can put it into a shallow container you don't need and let it evaporate in the heat.
When we burn brush piles (you probably don't do this), we mix old gas with diesel and use it to light them. The diesel at a 1:1 mixture renders it non-explosive. But be careful anyway.

You need a old 1950's tractor, it wouldn't care.

City ran hazardous waste collection time is probably your best bet.
