Question for those with hearing aid capable AirPods Pro 2, since I am such an idiot, jumping into buying in without thinking. Does the hearing feature require you to have an iPhone or iPad for the duration of ownership, or only for the initial setup and hearing testing and adjustment? I have Android. Now, you see why I'm an idiot. ![]() Q

I swear I had something for this |
You need an iPhone/iPad to do the test. After the test, the data is stored on the Airpods themselves and you can use the Airpods to switch between noise cancelling and transparency mode. You can pair them to an Android phone for general audio use, but if you need to change any settings or redo the hearing test, you'll need an iOS device again.

I use this product with my airpods: Proof Labs 4 Pairs for AirPods Pro 2 Ear Hooks Covers [Added Storage Pouch] Accessories Compatible with Apple AirPods Pro Generation 2 (White) Which I got from Amazon. They easily slip on and off the Airpods and the hook fits into the inner curvature of your ear. It's very comfortable and secure.

Thank you Very little ![]() |
Not sure I'd want to walk around all day with those things in my ears, I do use them when working in the yard and use the noise cancellation feature to block out the equipment sounds. If I had to have hearing aids I'd prefer the in the ear models vs over the ear.
