Taken by itself, it's a ridiculous reaction to what she said (as opposed to what the media reported on what she said). Her exact words may have been poorly chosen but I don't think she meant what they are turning this into.

On the other hand, it's a taste of her own medicine. She does the same thing to others on a regular basis in an equally unfair and often for much less. Race baiting comes back to bite her. She likes to use those tactics against others so well, now she has to play by the same rules.

Her boss said, when announcing the suspension, I hope she reflects and learns from this. I also hope she learns from this, but the lesson isn't the one her boss is talking about.

Her actual statement:

“Let’s be truthful, the Holocaust isn’t about race, it’s not. It’s about man’s inhumanity to man, that’s what it’s about. These are two groups of white people,” she said on The View on Monday.

She continued: “You’re missing the point … let’s talk about it for what it really is. It’s about how people treat each other. It’s a problem. It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white, Jews … everybody eats each other.”

Looking at her actual statement and the media reaction I can only further wonder if the legacy media is one of the worst organizations on this planet. I feel like they actually want chaos and killing everywhere so they can point a camera and profit off of it.

I have no problem with her actual statement. Yes she articulated it poorly but the rush to cancel rather than clarify is a symptom of a legacy media that stopped being objective long ago and has morphed into a propaganda apparatus that makes even the most efficient authoritarian regimes jealous.

Who the fuck out there hasn’t articulated an argument poorly. It is why we need a open dialog, often we perceive things incorrectly and see malice where none was meant or intended. This is one of the biggest problems society is facing.

If we cannot communicate, if we cannot clarify and if we cannot forgive when wrongs are actually committed society will eventually collapse into perpetual tribal warfare.

It’s ironic because it’s one more example of how the actual racists on the left have adopted the dogma of their (supposed) enemies. Although perhaps they weren’t the first to do it (my knowledge of the issue goes back only so far), it was Hitler and the Nazis that came up with or at least promoted the idea that Jews were a separate “race” from the rest of northern Europeans. According to Nazi doctrine, Jews had different “blood,” which would be referred to as genetic makeup today, and it wasn’t just a matter of their religious beliefs. That’s why it didn’t matter to them if someone who had Jewish ancestors converted to Christianity: They were still genetically Jews and needed to be exterminated.

I still remember a conversation I had in high school some 60 years or so ago with a friend who made reference to the “Jewish race,” and my incredulous reaction to the idea that people who looked just like us could be characterized in the same way as sub-Saharan Africans and Asians who didn’t.

In other words, Goldberg is being chastised for not recognizing and accepting the probably most important and strongly-held tenet of Nazi ideology.

As a totally unrelated issue, though, I agree with Robert Heinlein that our name is whatever we say it is, and therefore there is nothing fake about it.

In Nazi Germany they had a booklet, sort of an ID thing called an Ahnenpaß. I have a photo of a friend's somewhere.
For some positions in the gov't. your Ahnenpaß had to show four generations of no Jewish blood. They didn't ask about religion or if you were circumcised or attended synagogue. It was a bloodline thing. So I'd say that was very much about race and not about religion. You could have been as purebred Aryan as the day is long, but practiced Judaism in your basement in secret. Your papers would show no Jewish bloodline and you'd probably be able to go about normal daily life without trouble.
