Black92XL, we live in the same region, so you understand the terrain and weather conditions. I don't think that I was ever aware of those boots/shoes. The linked boot isn't quite what I'm looking for, but I did find a couple that I'm interested in. Though they are a little more than I was looking at. But I might just spring for them. I have been wearing Vasque hiking shoes and been fairly happy with them, but I'm waiting to try something else. I was looking a some Keen's, but don't know anyone who has them, and know nothing about them. ARman

Those are some seriously breathing shoes. That pic alone convinced me. ![]() Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." -- George Orwell

I wore Salomon Speedcross 5’s on a Mammoth March 20 mile hike and my feet looked normal the next day. They’re lightweight with aggressive tread. Probably not waterproof, though but they do dry quickly.
