Nah, they don’t want to split the vote and he’d rather take another dive in the 8th round and get another payout.

There’s a lot of former NeverTrumpers who’ve had the scales fall from their eyes since he took office.

I think the big question is what are the Bernie bros who stayed home last time in a snit fit going to do this time when he gets railroaded again.

That is the big question.
And I think the Bernie bros who stayed home last time will mostly do the same thing again. Of course, many will reluctantly pull the lever for Warren or Biden, but a lot of them will be disillusioned and stay home. Bernie won't run 3rd party.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

This much, I'm pretty sure of. Their big, stated goal, is unseat Trump, and him going 3rd party does nothing to help that. He’ll take another payout and may or may not run for his seat in the senate.

I believe their second, unstated goal, was to run candidates like him, and Beto, and others and see how super-leftist topics and positions were polling. How they played out on the debate stage and reactions to it. It seems to be moving more that direction, but I think the Dems don’t feel like a Bernie could win right now.

We’ve got most of a year left to the election, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out, but they seem to again have it in for ‘ol Bunny Sanduss.

If/when the DNC convention in Milwaukee devolves into a shit-show, I'm predicting a chunk of the most-left of the Dems, will leave the party and flock to the Greens. They'll align themselves with the European Greens and attempt to elevate the US Green party to the national stage beyond what Ralph Nader was able to do. It'll be the party for the socialist-minded and the Alphabet People.

Entirely possible. There were a lot of cries to do so after the 2016 election.

I think it may be safe to say that we're seeing the dissolution of the "big tent" Democrat party. They tried to round up everyone who wasn't a white guy and claim to represent them, when it simply was never a possibility in the first place.

I'm totally ok with everyone left of the middle splintering into their own little special factions. I think the reason it hasn't happened so far, and possibly won't, however, is the same reasons the TEA party and Libertarian party never amounted to anything. That's all been discussed at length here over the years.

I think more options are better than the binary choice in terms of politics. However, that isn't the reality we find ourselves in, currently. In any case, our best bet is still Donald Trump. But it is amusing to watch them reach the point in the race where the knives start to come out. Wink

And "experts" and "pundits" predicted the Republican party would dissolve once Donald Trump was elected. Wish I woulda taken the odds and put a Grant down on THAT bet!! Big Grin

I did say "possibly won't" for the very same reasons. Big Grin

We on the right tend to love freedom and respect life. Those on the left tend to love state control and "fairness of outcome."

The difference is, people who love freedom are just people. And we respect and welcome them as they join our ranks. People who want state control and "fairness of outcome" all get herded into their "intersectional" cattle cars of preference and rank, and all head down the same rails to the same conclusion that socialism and communism guarantees: When everyone who disagrees with the state gets a bullet in the back of the skull, the outcome is fair.

Time to hear from my favorite leftist, Jimmy Dore. This is what Elizabeth Warren is made of- freezing in the face of hecklers and having to be rescued ("What do we do??" Yes, she actually said this- a person who wants to be the leader of the free world freezes up and has to be rescued from a handful of hecklers), and the second part is Warren's pandering and stuttering doubletalk non-answer to Megan McCain on the idiotic View. Listen to the long-winded tangent this imbecile goes on in an effort to not answer the question.

This wants to be POTUS, the most powerful position in the free world. What a fucking joke. Forget about the fact that the woman is a pathological liar. She has feet of clay.

Just a quick sidebar, Jimmy Dore was on Joe Rogan's show yesterday. I haven't listened to it yet so can't comment on it.

Damn, Warren is a wet noodle.

Nobody wants a mousy librarian as president. She can’t possibly think she can handle the stress of the job. How pathetic.

I haven’t heard much from Biden lately. Seems like it’s time for the media to go to work on the rest of the group of shitheads, while he sits back and swoops in for the nomination at the last minute.

Broken clock correct, twice a day. Is Dore a more palatable version of Bill Maher..? At least he's willing to skewer the left..
