Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

That would be fun in rush hour traffic!

I’ve switched to the Royal Purple synthetic racing type signal fluid on my car. And installed a heavy duty signal fluid cooler.

I don't know if my car (2006 Mustang) has that feature or not. I don't leave the signal on.

Many cars have a version of this feature now. If you tap the turn signal without clicking it fully into the On position, it will flash 3-4 times, giving you enough time to change lanes. My 30 year old Harley motorcycle also has auto cancelling turn signals.

I believe Jerry Seinfeld said that leaving your turn signal on forever is a legal turn in Florida. It's called "an eventual left".

re: "I probably wasn't misremembering it when I thought I recalled my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer had it,"

every car/truck I've had since my 1949 Ford has had a clicker-and-blinker to alert to turn signal activation. And turning a steering wheel a certain amount cancels the turn lever.

What's up with needing another gizmo given these have nearly always worked without issue over the decades.
