Already has.

They are a hit on the Sailboat Forum.

Which "sailboat forum?" There are several of them.

That, right there, illustrates why I stopped hanging out on certain sailing forums.

I would be surprised if they're not a laughing stock on Sailing Anarchy.

Typical young idealistic couple with no clue.

For chrissakes. I was imagining a couple in their sixties recently retired.

Furthermore, when I hear sell everything you own, I'm thinking a few hundred grand. $10,000? Roll Eyes

My exact thought before I read the article.

I suspect the underwater obstacle they hit was the bottom.
A 28 footer isn't the size boat that most would want to sail beyond the harbor and sight of land.

And I thought "tragic boating accidents" only happen on gun forums.

I read they only had $90 left.

How in the hell were they going to sail the world with $90?

And they are getting a participation trophy. When my wife was telling me about the story three hours ago, their gofundme account was already over $1,000.

'WFTS"! Cool

The older I get the more I realize having a dream is important.

This one does seem a bit much and I agree. It could of ended much, much worse.

That's probably right, haven't been there today.

I am hoping they try climbing Everest next with their Go Fund Me proceeds. I am sure there will be the potential for a lawsuit since the Navigational buoys had not been repositioned. LOL
