There is still one government entity in Minneapolis that makes an attempt to play by the rules....

Hennepin sheriff's cooperation with ICE raises outcry

Hennepin County Sheriff Richard Stanek is under fire from county officials and advocates who argue his office does too much to help immigration authorities — even as the Trump administration called him out recently for not cooperating enough.

Stanek's office does not honor requests to hold inmates longer for immigration agents. But it does alert Immigration and Customs Enforcement when deputies book foreign-born inmates, among other assists.

From the article:

"What the sheriff is doing is making it much easier for ICE to target our clients," said Mary Moriarty, Hennepin County's chief public defender.

"He's going above and beyond."

Since when does it seem "unreasonable" for going "above and beyond" at your job?....Idiots.

If she completed her thought fragment it would be "He is going above and beyond the call of duty."

Richard W. Stanek is a good man and a great cop. Unlike some of his opposition.

Sounds like he's also saving county, state, and federal dollars by making it easier.

Give that man a bonus!!

Used to make runs to Minneapolis - St Paul area for everything from the Mall of America to friendly redhead gals. Smile But what with the cesspool of third world anti-American jihadists infecting the area, I've steered clear. You can't pay me enough to head there. And of note the communist leftist jackwads that run the state don't honor my South Dakota CCW permit either, so a big SCREW YOU to them. Stew in the juices of the cesspool you've created while you continue to kiss the asses of jackasses like Al Franken.

Is the Hennepin County Sheriff not the constitutional law in his jurisdiction? Was he not elected by a majority of the citizens in his jurisdiction? Is he failing to adhere to the black-letter law? Is he running a criminal enterprise? No to all of these? Then tough shit, lefties!

So the other "county officials" don't like his stance on detaining illegals. So what? They can run for sheriff and do it their way if they win. 'Till then, fuck 'em.

Thanks,

Sap

Exactly. I doubt that anything close to the majority of Hennepin County residents have the slightest problem with his position. The city of Minneapolis accounts for a bit less than half of the county's population. Not much crazy liberalism outside of the core.

Roll Eyes

You've got a point with the CCW permit, but overrun with Jihadists?

The CCW permit is because your state's Gold CCW permit doesn't have an education requirement. If you pay $30 more and take an approved class, you can get the Enhanced.

Yeah your state has arguably the largest Mooslum population around and one that constantly receives press about jihadists either going to join ISIS or acting out locally. I call that overrun.

As for the permit, yes SD did recently add two levels above the on demand permit. But as a retired military mustang officer whose enlisted time was as an Army drill sergeant with expert weapons quals, having had a concealed permit for many many many years, and now entering my seventh decade, I'll be damned if I have to pay for an unneeded class to satisfy some leftist second amendment obstructionists in your state (and Illinois, or Nebraska for that matter) when I can legally carry in all the other states in our region with my existing permit.

You have probably read about my frustration with the refugee resettlement in MN. It's definitely not a good thing. However, it's not "the state" that is overrun. Certain neighborhoods of Minneapolis (Cedar/Riverside), parts of Burnsville, parts of St Cloud, parts of Willmar are heavily concentrated. MOA and MSP Airport have a high presence. Walmart near any of the above. A trip to Fleet Farm, Menards or Cabelas is unlikely to turn up any. A drive through Maple Grove or Rogers might spot a few. A trip up the North Shore of Superior doesn't seem much different than 3 decades ago.

Please don't write us all off as a bunch of kooks.

MNSIG,

Point taken. It's pockets of them that refuse to assimilate as Americans. But again MN seems to have more pockets than any other state I can think of.
And no, you folks are not all jackwads just as not every Kalifornian is a libtard socialist. Sadly both states seem to elect that breed regularily which reflects the majority sentiment.

That's true about Somalis, but don't think it is true of muslims in general. There are many other states with larger populations. How did it happen? The combination of liberal MSP politicians, Lutheran Social Services and Catholic Charities got the ball rolling. Once the base formed, others followed. Many were initially settled in other states and then came here to be with "their people". It sucks.

So precision air strike could fix this?
