Growing up we would always have family dinner at my grandparents home, watch the Army-Navy game. Seems my dad was in the Navy, my uncle in the Army, it was interesting. (And later in life I was in the Army Reserves)
In the 4th grade I got an A for drawing a picture of Roger Staubach that came from the front cover of Boys Life. Since then I have always been a Navy fan.

Hope the young man's eye turns out to be OK in the long run.

Loved the 25th Infantry commemorative uniforms. I had an uncle in the 25th in WWII. He was wounded on some island in the Pacific and finished out the War as a welder on Wake Island.

My brother is there... in New York. His son is an Army cadet.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown
