Max_VanoFirearms Collection Insurance: What company do you use or recommend?
Hello, my fellow Sig lovers,
I have been putting off getting a specific insurance policy for my collection/herd for far too long.
What insurance companies do you guys use or can you recommend from experience or by a trusted word-of-mouth?
- Do they want serial numbers and photographic proof?
- Are there some cash value policies with no specifics in terms of serial numbers, etc.?
I looked at getting some several years ago, however, for the life of me, I cannot remember which companies I looked at.
Any help suggestions and real-world examples would be very helpful.
Thanks!

DaBigBRI used to insure my entire collection (with a rider on my homeowner's insurance). They wanted serial numbers and values but no photos. I reached the point where the cost of the rider was more than I wanted to pay so I picked a fixed value mostly designed to cover many of the less replaceable items (built up SBRs, custom built pistols, etc.) If it all burned tomorrow, I wouldn't necessarily miss quite a bit of it.

RogueJSK https://collectinsure.com/ is frequently recommended for gun collection insurance, and doesn't require serial numbers or photos for the policy.
However, keep in mind that even with policies like theirs that don't require serials/photos, you still have to be able to prove your loss. So you'll still need to keep serials, photos, and other records for yourself in a secure (and preferably separate) location.

Max_VanoThanks for the replies.
Have any of you filed a claim with either company?
