An old Boy Scout manual. About all the knots
most people will need. Book written for the twelve year old in the thirties and forties. May be a little difficult for the "New Americans".
Few people know the daily newspapers in those days
were written at the sixth grade level.
So were the WWII army field manuals.
Check any of those against one of today's army field manual.
Sad.
Stay safe

Boy scout handbook or the field book. Both will provide much more than just knots.

My preference is one of the older field books.

A "twofer". I've got a set similar to this.
