This is truly one of my favorites. I have to watch The Bells of St Mary's every year around Christmas time. A true classic. It was a better time I think. This movie will move you.

If anyone can post a better link to it please do. Merry Christmas everyone.

Our home videos on VHS when the kids were little. I have a unit to convert the VHS to disc and have been working on all the tapes a few at a time.

Have laughed so hard nearly peed myself.

For you 80's fans and especially those that have connection to Chicago suburbs...watch 8 Bits..it is a Christmas Story like movie about a boy wanting a Nintendo in the 80's.

It won't be a classic...but it is good for a laugh or two.

My absolute favorite movie (Christmas or otherwise) is “It’s A Wonderful Life”. In B&W only, thank you. I really like the story; I don’t care that it’s corny or contrived; I feel good after watching it. Every time. Also I have a huge crush on both Donna Reed and Gloria Graham.

Other Christmas favorites are “The Homecoming” followed by “Miracle On 34th Street” (Elizabeth Perkins version).

Of course, “Christmas Vacation” and “Elf” are must-see’s in our home as well — we like to laugh, too.

Merry Christmas!

Based on your suggestion, I changed up my usual Christmas movie play list. Almost always watch It's a Wonderful Life and did so this year, but substituted Bells of St. Mary's for Miracle on 34th Street.

I don't know that it will replace my usual Christmas line-up but I enjoyed it and will probably work it into the rotation every few years.

Fun Fact: Bells of St. Mary's is the movie listed playing on the Bijou Theater in Bedford Falls in It's a Wonderful Life. Also, the actor Henry Travers, who played Clarence in It's a Wonderful Life also played Mr. Bogardus in The Bells of St. Mary's.
