Como is a predominantly African-American neighborhood. The shooting happened at a party, which is a very typical narrative for these types of violent events. They were not really throwing rocks - they were pounding the guy with paver stones.

If the guy fired at the people following him like the story says, I wouldn’t call it stoning in the Biblical sense. That’s defending yourself when you’re otherwise unarmed with what you have available.

Media outlets are camouflaging violence between gangs with double speak such as this.
We had a gang murder and it was “violence between two groups of people”. And they rejected calling them gangs and doubled down on the narrative of “groups of people”.
