I do miss that stuff.

I too adored the Celtics in the 80s. Everyone at my school were Laker fans, so I had to go for the Celtics. If you watch today's Warriors, they pass the ball like crazy. Congrats to the W's. The Cavs played well but were out manned.

I'm just happy SF did not sweep the playoffs. With the addition of KD, SF is just too talented to beat.

LeBron and Kyrie did what they could to carry the Cavs over the finish line.

Unless the Cavs find more talent to replace some of their aging players, it's SF again next year.

The depth of the Warriors was the difference. The Cavs starters actually outscored the Warriors starters by 19 points over the series, but their bench got outscored by 53 points. You could see it every time Lebron took a breather. All of the focus was on KD, Steph, and Klay vs. Lebron, Kyrie, and Love, but the real difference was guys like Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston coming off of GS's bench.

Thus enters the unfortunate time of year until college Football and the NFL come back that the only sport on TV is baseball. Frown

I'm just hoping this will kill the talk about king dingaling and the scabs for a couple months. The local AM radio jocks were getting way too much play outta this for my taste. Bunch of overpaid "adults" playing children's games. Especially after the business with the anthem and then sitting out games to prove how important they are.

I will freely admit I hate all sports, professional or not, and that colors my lack of empathy for the home team. Racing has even lost its draw.

MotoGP and Formula 1 are mid season. Much more exciting than stick and ball.

I wholeheartedly understand your viewpoint.

The only sport I ever cared to watch was football - probably because I played in school when I was a kid. Ever since the mid 1970s I watched the 49ers play. But when craponastick pulled his anti-American, self-serving stunts, I boycotted everything 49ers.

I've never watched basketball on TV at all; but started watching the Warriors last year, and continue to really enjoy their teamwork, which is quite amazing. When even KD can be humble and talk about the team, I'm impressed. The Warriors worked hard to get him to come over from Oklahoma City, and it's really worked for them. Don't see Steph Curry sorry for it just because KD was MVP.

Speaking of the Celtics. I remember Red and Havlichek, White, Hensen, Nelson, Cheney, Russell, Sanders, then Cowens, etc.I was pretty young but remember it. My team was the Knicks though.

Congratulations! I loved my Celtics back in the day. Ya know, Bird, Ainge and the Chief!
