I appreciate ProjectVeritas' effort to make the whistleblower anonymous but what's to stop that exec from remembering that conversation and stating, "hey, this specific person was sitting across from me during that conversation," thus negating PV's effort to keep the person anonymous? Whistleblower at Google Exposes Plans to Manipulate the 2020 Presidential Election Project Veritas – Google Exec Decries Trump’s Election: ‘How Do We Prevent It from Happening Again’ Undercover videos recorded by Project Veritas reveals that Google is determined to prevent the re-election of Donald Trump in 2020, and is altering its products with this aim in mind. The report includes undercover footage featuring a top Google executive, Jen Gennai, discussing how Google might prevent an electoral outcome like 2016 from happening again. Here’s what Gennai says in the undercover video: We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’re rapidly been like, happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again. We’re also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different? Gennai also declares her opposition to Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren’s proposal to break up Google. Why? Because, says Gennai, if Google is broken up it can’t prevent another “Trump situation.” Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that. Gennai also declared that no amount of soft pressure from Congress or the White House will make Google change its ways. In other words, talk won’t help — if politicians want to change Google’s behavior, they’ll have to go beyond committee hearings and actually change the law. We got called in front of Congress multiple times, so we’ve not shown up because we know that they’re just going to attack us. We’re not going to change our, we’re not going to change our mind. There’s no use sitting there being attacked over something we know we’re not going to change. They can pressure us but we’re not changing. But we also have to be aware of what they’re doing and what they’re accusing us of. According to her professional profile, Gennai works on “responsible innovation” in the Global Affairs division of Google — the same division run by Kent Walker, the Google VP who has declared his intention to make the populist-nationalist movement represented by Donald Trump a “blip” or “hiccup” in history, which he said “bends towards progress.” Walker made these statements just days after the 2016 election, in a confidential video recording that was leaked to Breitbart News. https://www.breitbart.com/tech...rom-happening-again/ "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Yep. me too. I work in the tech world and AI scares the [you know what] outta me. As AI continues to evolve and we become even more dependent on the phones in our hands and laptops on our desks, we could very easily reach a point where every single thing we see is completely tailored pro-grammatically to a narrative. We're already part of the way there, and AI is still in its infancy. The reference to the book 1984 is a good one as it appears the basis if that book is the ultimate goal with these tech companies. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. I didn't really need another reason to shun Google/Alphabet/Android, but I got one, anyway. I think, with this, I'm really gonna have to bite the bullet and replace the two Android TV devices we have with Apple TV devices. (They're more capable, anyway.) Then I'll finally be able to whack my Google account entirely. I think it's fascinating Google, of all entities, would believe it can suppress a story like this in this manner. It's as if they never heard of the Streisand Effect. "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system,,,, but too early to shoot the bastards." -- Claire Wolfe "If we let things terrify us, life will not be worth living." -- Seneca the Younger, Roman Stoic philosopher

Since we all know congress is never going to address this issue in any meaningful way (hell 75% of congress wants Trump gone also) is there anything the Trump administration can do on its own?
